Tour “Odessa – the Literary City”

By visiting the tour program “The Stroke of a Splendid Pen”, you’ll get a unique opportunity to dip into the time of the great poets and writers who created an image of Odessa in their works. You’ll walk through the streets of Odessa together with the heroes of the stories of Babel, Olesha, Sholom-Aleikhem , Zhabotinsky , Ilf and Petrov , Kataev , Paustovskiy and Zhvanetskiy. The works of these great men embodied labor, cultural and literary life, traditions, customs and lifestyle of the city by the sea.

Odessa was a shelter for such talented people as Pushkin, Mickiewicz, Vazov . Gogol , Ostrovsky , Korolenko , Bunin , Kuprin, Twain, Sosiura, Lesia Ukrainka, Korneichuk , Slavin and many others left their signs in Odessa.

During the tour you will visit the places associated with the life and work of these great men , walk through the literary museum storing the manuscripts, documents and books relating to that time .
